DESCRIPTION:
Ageless humanoids with pallid skin. Eyes often have a reddish tint to them. Fangs protrude from their upper jaws.
ABILITIES:
Enhanced strength, speed, and regeneration.
Hypnotism through eyes and pheromones.
Night vision.
Nearly immortal, if kept well-fed.
WEAKNESSES:
Sunlight causes their cells to catch fire.
Cannot enter holy grounds; vulnerable to crosses.
Blood starvation leads to ferality.
ORIGIN THEORY: Vampires are believed to have descended from a single ancestor, known as Balthasar, who lived in Romania in the mid-15th century and likely possessed a blood-processing disease. From there, the disease spread to surrounding countries, and eventually worldwide.
